The test is whether trust Apple has cultivated, and the enormous installed base behind it, is enough to convince consumers to choose Apple’s AI devices over increasingly capable alternatives.” Apple’s biggest contribution to the foldable space that includes Huawei with half the market, among others, may well be its titanium body and durable hinge, made from 100 components for precise opening and closing and support of the center display. Some early competitors’ foldables from competitors literally fell apart. Apple software chief Craig Federighi made the point that Duo will work at any angle in either mode as a 5.4-in smartphone display or a 7.6-inch display when open.
